SACE TMAX XT2 & XT2N 160 Frame MCCB

Developments such as energy efficiency, connectivity and smart grids are assured with high quality, accuracy, and reliability with SACE TMAX XT2 circuit breakers.?MCCB (Moulded Case Circuit Breaker) is an electrical protective device, which is used to protect the electrical installation against overload and short circuit faults that arise because of excessive current.

The SACE TMAX XT2 MCCBs’ circuit breakers and their accessories are constructed in compliance with international standards (IEC 60947-2, EN60947). ABB’s SACE TMAX XT2 MCCBs, rated with an uninterrupted current of 160A are available with rated currents ranging from 1.6 to 160 Amperes and come in 3 and 4 pole configurations. The devices in this series can work on both AC and DC supplies, have rated breaking capacities ranging from 36kA to 150kA and rated operational voltages of up to 690 V AC and 500 V DC.

ABB’s SACE TMAX XT2 MCCBs have tripping units that cater to a wide range of applications, namely power distribution, motor protection and generator protection. Thermal magnetic trip units and magnetic trip units in the TMAX XT2 range are a solution for protection against short circuit and overloads used in both AC and DC networks. A magnetic device is used for protection against short circuiting and a temperature dependent bimetal heated by current acts as the thermal device ensuring overload protection.

The Ekip Dip trip units in the TMAX XT2 range is the first level of electronic trip units used in AC networks. High reliability and tripping precision are ensured as these electronic trip units are based on microprocessor technologies offering protection against overloads, selective short-circuits, short-circuits and earth faults. The power required for their operation is provided directly from the current sensors.
