IPD’s fuse gear range is backed by a long-standing Australian manufacturing heritage, originating from the GEC and English Electric operations established at Regents Park, Sydney in 1956. Following a management buyout in 2005, IPD became a 100% Australian-owned, manufactured and operated business, continuing to support the local electrical industry with trusted protection solutions.
The well-known RS (Red Spot) and Safeclip fittings are now supplied as RS Fittings by IPD and are manufactured by IPD rather than sourced from third-party suppliers.
