Switch Disconnectors

A switch disconnector is used to disconnect or isolate an entire or specific part of an electric circuit in case of faults from the main power supply for maintenance purposes. It doesn’t interrupt any current, it only disconnects the circuit for maintenance, with a low withstand capacity in comparison to circuit breakers and are required to be operated manually.

IPD offers ABB’s SHD200 and E200 switch disconnectors for safe switching with both series extending the proven System pro M compact® series. Providing state-of-the-art safety and comfort our selection of switch disconnectors are available with 1 to 4 poles and rated currents from 40A to 125A. They also include disconnection properties according to AS/NZS 60947-3. With a rated voltage of 230/415 VAC and a rated conditional short-circuit current range from 6kA to 25kA, the switch disconnector range is ideal for a wide variety of domestic and commercial applications. The laser printing and the design of the devices allow a consistent optical appearance in the distribution board.

A switch disconnector is used to disconnect or isolate an entire or specific part of an electric circuit in case of faults from the main power supply for maintenance purposes. It doesn’t interrupt any current, it only disconnects the circuit for maintenance, with a low withstand capacity in comparison to circuit breakers and are required to be operated manually, unlike a circuit breaker capable of making, carrying, and breaking the current under standard circuit conditions.

IPD offers ABB’s SHD200 and E200 switch disconnectors for safe switching. Both the series extend the proven System pro M compact® series by ranges of switch disconnectors which provides state-of-the-art safety and comfort and are available with 1 to 4 poles with rated currents from 40A to 125A and provides disconnection properties according to AS/NZS 60947- 3. With a rated voltage of 230/415 VAC and a rated conditional short-circuit current range from 6kA to 25kA these enable a wide range of domestic and commercial applications.

IPD offers ABB’s SHD200 and E200 switch disconnectors for safe switching compliant to AS/NZS 60947- 3 standards. This standard applies to switches, disconnectors, switch-disconnectors, and fuse-combination units to be used in distribution circuits and motor circuits of which the rated voltage does not surpass 1 000 V AC or 1 500 V DC. The manufacturer stipulates the type, ratings, and characteristics according to the relevant standard of any incorporated fuses. Identical to and reproduced from IEC 60947-3.
